Great Lakes Cruising Club – Celebrating 80 years promoting and enhancing cruising on the Great Lakes

We have used the GLCC Harbor Reports throughout our sailing on the Great Lakes – the reports have been invaluable in providing detail about well-known and not-so-well-known anchorages. We’ve also contacted various Port Captains along the way to ask for assistance and suggestions. Highly recommend this organization for anyone who is serious about sailing on the Great Lakes!

Thousand Island Yacht Club – we were invited to join by friends as we cruised Lake Ontario. Our membership allowed us to stay at numerous reciprocal clubs that otherwise would not have been an option. And they have a lovely burgee that represents both the US and Canada!

Women who Sail – A closed Facebook group for women sailors (power and sail).

This group focuses on providing support for women who are involved (at any level) in sailing or boating in general. They have over 20,000 members worldwide.

Women who Sail the Great Lakes – Also a closed Facebook page, it is a sub-group to WWS but is focused on those who boat on the Great Lakes.
