After a crazy day doing laundry, getting the dinghy inflated, cleaned and on the davits, stowing the provisions (I thought we already had a pretty well stocked boat but we still managed to blow an entire month’s grocery budget), getting our vehicle and bikes ready for friends who are going to use our slip in our absence, etc., etc., we finally left Pikes Bay Marina at 5:30pm and headed to Stockton Island. With no winds and no time, we played motorboat and arrived just before 8:00pm. Niels and Vicki Jensen (on Freelance) welcomed us into Julian Bay on Stockton Island – we rafted up (first time with Gaviidae) for a little celebration and to discuss the plans for the next day. We are now anchored a short way from Freelance and very much ready to call it a day.
