There is a little town in central Minnesota named Dorset (population: 26) and it is famous for it’s many restaurants and small shops. One of these shops is a very tiny stained glass studio and the proprietor had a beautiful stained glass piece of a loon. As the size was too large for our boat, we had her make a smaller version.
We’ve learned that we need to take our pretty loon down when we’re underway, just a little too much motion to feel comfortable that it won’t break free and send glass chards all over the galley.
